Student Of The Month: Daniella

Congratulations to Daniella on being selected as our August Student of the Month!

We are thrilled to announce Daniella as our Student of the Month! This summer, Daniella participated in the Marlborough Summer School, an intensive 5-week all around program, where she took private guitar lessons with our Program Director, Chris. Her dedication and hard work culminated in a memorable performance at the end-of-program recital, where she sang and played “The Fire and The Flood” by Vance Joy alongside Chris. This achievement was a testament to her growth and commitment to her musical journey.

Daniella’s remarkable progress doesn’t stop there. Prior to her summer school experience, she took part in Showcase XXII, where she performed three selections. Her impressive repertoire included two solo classical guitar pieces and a captivating rendition of “Jolene” by Dolly Parton, where she both sang and accompanied herself on guitar. This is a particularly noteworthy accomplishment given that just a year ago, Daniella was hesitant to perform at all. Her courage and determination have truly shone through, inspiring her peers and teachers alike.

Daniella has a wonderful sense of humor, she is curious, and tenacious. She loves to make deals with her instructors, making the lessons both fun and challenging. After her Summer School performance she penned a hilarious song along with Chris’s help called “Pretzel Sadness” about her love for chocolate covered pretzels.

We are incredibly proud of Daniella’s achievements and the progress she has made. Her journey from reluctance to confidence exemplifies the transformative power of dedication and passion. Congratulations Daniella on being our Student of the Month! We look forward to seeing where your musical talents will take you next.
